Stunning Gems and Jewellery from KREIS

An array of exceptionally cut coloured gemstones and bespoke jewellery are adorning the windows of German jewellery maker Sonja Kreis.

Among the highlights of these new collections are a droplet-shaped tanzanite, a “tiger’s heartbeat” rebellite pendant accentuated with diamonds and a mint green tourmaline, reminiscent of ocean waves, according to gemstone cutter Alexander Kreis.

“We offer one-of-a-kind gemstones, cut and carved using modern techniques. Our custom-made jewellery are also sought-after for their distinctive designs”

The company is targeting buyers from Hong Kong and China. Sonja Kreis also customises jewellery, using gemstones chosen by buyers themselves, Kreis added. The gemstone cutter said the company performed well in the first quarter of 2015, thanks to continued demand from local and foreign clients.

“We expect an even better 2016 since more customers, particularly from Greater China, are turning their attention to coloured gemstones,” Kreis noted. “Buyers have become more knowledgeable and are making informed decisions. They are willing to spend on high-quality gemstones.”

Founded in 2001 near Idar-Oberstein, Sonja Kreis specialtises in contemporary gemstone cutting and jewellery making.
